Hi, I'm Alyssa - a self-taught acrylic painter based in the small town of Argos, Indiana. I mostly create soft, nature-inspired artwork, with focus on the color and light to create a calming effect and sense of stillness. Most of my pieces are rooted in landscapes and everyday moments. However, I love to experiment as well so that's not all you'll see!

I started painting when I was visiting a friend and they let me borrow their art supplies. I suppose I always enjoyed creativity and art, but I had never tried painting before. When I returned home, I was painting on anything I could- I did quite a few on cardboard and eventually upgraded to canvases :)

Now, here we are almost 10 years later and I'm still painting! Over time, this grew into a small studio practice and the beginnings of something I hope to share more widely.

Right now, my shop is getting ready to launch in October! I'll be releasing a small collection of original paintings.
